Job summary

Mashreq in Pakistan seeks a Trade Operations professional to manage export/import lifecycle documents in line with UCP/ISBP/ICC guidelines and bank policies.

You will review L/C/SBLC, run sanction checks, and input data into the processing system to enable smooth advising via SWIFT. 5–8 years in Trade Operations with 2–3 years in document checking is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5–8 years of experience in Trade Operations.
• Document checking experience 2–3 years is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Check LC/SBLC/Collection documents per UCP/ISBP/ISP and ICC guidelines.
• Perform sanction checks on relevant parties in documents.
• Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents.
• Input documents into the processing system and prepare SWIFT for advising.
• Execute ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Team Head.
• Communicate errors or knowledge gaps to line manager to resolve issues.

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible for checking LC/SBLC/Collection documents under Export/Import Life cycle as per Bank's internal policies as well as ICC guidelines and lodging the transactions in the processing system. The coverage will be all the areas of Trade Finance for various business segments

Key result Areas

• Document checking against L/C or SBLC should be as per UCP/ISBP/ISP as applicable and corresponding to all applicable ICC guidelines as well as internal policies of the bank
• Perform sanction checking of relevant parties in documents
• Handle Commodity Trade Operations documents
• Responsible for inputting documents into the system and prepare SWIFT for advising
• Ad-hoc tasks given by the Team Head
• Ensure errors/knowledge gaps resulting in rejection of docs are shared with line manager/team to address customer service issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 5-8 years of relevant working experiences in Trade Operations
• Document checking experience of 2-3 years is a must.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
