Job summary

ARWEN TECH (PVT) LTD. in Karachi is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer - EITM to partner with the sales team, translate customer needs into network and security designs, and present compelling technical proposals to prospective clients.

You will serve as the technical point of contact, conduct PoCs and lab validations, deliver demos, and ensure smooth handover of final designs to the delivery team with complete documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a relevant field.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Sales Team to understand customer needs and identify network opportunities.
Conduct deep dives into client environments to define optimal architectures for network and security.
Design and configure routing, switching, firewall, load balancing, wireless and VPN solutions using Cisco and Juniper platforms.
Develop compelling technical presentations, bills of material and proposals that showcase the value of the solution.
Deliver demos, proofs of concept and lab validations, and address client technical inquiries.
Prepare technical responses, compliance matrices and architecture documents for tenders and bids.
Stay current on networking, network security, monitoring and cloud technologies, and vendor roadmaps.
Communicate customer needs to product managers, vendors and engineering teams to inform future offerings.
Hand over won projects to the delivery team with complete design documentation and scope clarity.

Summary of Job Profile

As a Pre-Sales Engineer - EITM, you will work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales process. Your role involves understanding customer needs, designing network and security solutions, and presenting technical proposals to prospective clients. You will be the technical point of contact for prospects and will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Sales Team: Work with account managers to understand customer needs and identify network infrastructure and security opportunities.
Technical Assessments: Conduct deep dives into client environments and requirements to define optimal network and security solution architectures.
Solution Design: Design and configure routing, switching, firewall, load balancing, wireless and VPN solutions using Cisco and Juniper platforms to meet specific client challenges.
Presentations and Proposals: Develop compelling technical presentations, bills of material and proposals that showcase the value of the solution.
Pre-Sales Support: Deliver demos, proofs of concept and lab validations, and address client technical inquiries.
RFP/RFI Support: Prepare technical responses, compliance matrices and architecture documents for tenders and bids.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA’s) required to successfully perform the job

Networking Fundamentals: Strong practical knowledge of routing and switching, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs and STP.
Vendor Platforms: Proficiency in Cisco or Juniper environments, with certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS or JNCIP.
Network Security: Working knowledge of firewalls, VPN, IPSec and SSL/TLS, and adherence to organizational security standards.
Monitoring and Management: Familiarity with tools such as SolarWinds, Manage Engine and Cisco Prime.
System Integration: Understanding of system integration methodologies and best practices.
Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer challenges.
Collaboration: Ability to work independently and within a team.
Technical Documentation: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation and diagramming tools.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required For The Position

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a relevant field.
3-5+ years in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering or network engineering role (customer-facing).
Relevant certification such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS or JNCIP.
Experience conducting product demos, delivering PoCs and supporting sales teams.
Experience working with enterprise customers and translating business requirements into technical designs.
Prior experience with system integration, product customization or architecture design is a strong plus.
