Job summary

OHDELA, an online K-12 school operated by ACCEL Schools, seeks highly capable teachers for a virtual classroom environment with periodic in-person state testing and events across Ohio. You will lead core content instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with families to support student growth and culture.

The role requires current Ohio teaching licensure, knowledge of standards, and the ability to deliver engaging live lessons online while coordinating with school leadership on progress

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Ohio teaching license in the relevant content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Two years’ teaching experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook).
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to supervise students and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Collaborate with the Principal to generate Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
