Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an appropriately licensed Ohio teacher for an online K-12 role. The teacher of record will deliver core content instruction, run live lessons, and manage course setup in the LMS, with daily progress feedback and regular family communication.

Collaboration with the principal on progress reports is required, with instruction differentiated for all learners, and culturally responsive teaching integrated throughout. Some in-person attendance for testing and events is expected.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ teaching experience.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Comfort with coaching and frequent observations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and accountability.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference using research-based practices.
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress and provide daily feedback on assignments.
• Maintain regular contact with each student and families.
• Collaborate with Principal to generate Progress Reports and adjust instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching and 21st century tech in lessons.
• Attend in-person state testing and student events as required.
