Job summary

ACCEL Schools, an online K-12 network, seeks a Teacher of Record for Ohio residents. You will deliver live lessons, monitor student progress, and collaborate with the principal to report outcomes.

Travel for state testing and events is required several times per year, emphasizing a rigorous, nurturing learning environment. Eligible candidates hold an Ohio teaching license, knowledge of state standards, and comfort with virtual instruction.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years' experience teaching.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student level data to inform instructional program adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
