ACCEL Schools is seeking online K-12 teachers for Pathfinder, a tuition-free virtual school. You will deliver live lessons, set up courses in the LMS, monitor progress, and communicate with families to support student achievement.

Open to Ohio residents with an active teaching license; position involves virtual instruction with periodic in-person state testing and student events several times per year.

Qualificações

• Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Two years’ teaching experience (preferred).
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to stand up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Meet goals related to student achievement, culture, and academic accountability.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference, rooted in research-based practices.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Utilize best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching daily.
• Implement school culture expectations inside and beyond the classroom.
• Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Incorporate 21st century technology in daily practice.
• Assist with non-instructional activities and attend events in person.
• Collaborate with colleagues respectfully.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
