Job summary

OHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy) seeks a Virtual Assistant Principal to advance academic excellence in a K-12 online school. Reporting to the Principal, you will partner with teachers, families, and students to ensure a culture of accountability, strong instruction, and positive behavior.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Ohio principal license, a bachelor’s in education, and several years of leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Principal license or administrative credential
• Minimum seven years in education or related field
• Two+ years in school administration/instructional leadership
• Knowledge of state academic content standards
• Ability to develop and maintain rigorous academic programs
• Experience with public education accountability and compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead cultural, behavioral, and academic initiatives
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
• Coordinate career and technical education programs
• Support professional development for teachers
• Communicate effectively with families and the community
• Manage talent recruitment, hiring, and staff support
• Ensure MTSS/RTI processes are followed with fidelity
• Oversee compliance with sponsor agreements and regulatory requirements
