Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an online K-12 teacher of record to deliver core content through live and asynchronous instruction. Travel may be required for state testing and events. Applicants should hold an Ohio teaching license and demonstrate knowledge of state standards, with a focus on engaging, data-driven instruction.

Role involves coordinating with the Principal, delivering feedback, and maintaining strong family communication while upholding school culture and equity goals.

Qualifications

• Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ teaching experience.
• Experience in a growth-focused coaching environment with observations.
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grades.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference, grounded in research-based practices.
• Complete course setup within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback or grades daily.
• Track contact with each student and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with Principal to provide Progress Reports.
• Review data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students’ needs.
• Use 21st-century tech skills in daily practice and team settings.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and events.
