Job summary

Farbstoffe Intl seeks a Matching & Production Designer to precisely match Pantone and brand colours across vinyl, textile, and substrates. You will oversee ICC profiling, spectrophotometer measurements, prepress, and RIP work, guiding proofs through approval to final QC.

Responsibilities include colour correction, file preparation, and creating 3D mockups for vehicle wraps and signage, with tight deadlines and attention to detail. 4–5 years of digital/large-format printing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 4–5 years in digital printing, large format, or textile printing.
• Proficient in Pantone matching, ICC profiling and file prepress.
• Hands-on RIP software experience with Onyx, Wasatch or Caldera.
• Proficient in CorelDraw, Illustrator and Photoshop for artwork correction.

Job description

We need a Matching & Production Designer who can hit a client's colour exactly — Pantone, brand colours, fabric samples or a reference print — across vinyl, flex, canvas, wallpaper, textile and sticker. The role covers ICC profiling, spectrophotometer measurement, file prepress and RIP work, then follows the job through proofing and approval to final quality check. A sharp eye for colour and quick judgement under deadline pressure are what make the difference in this seat.

Responsibilities:

• Client Colour Matching: Match client Pantone, brand colours, fabric samples or reference prints on the digital printer
• ICC Profile Management: Create and maintain ICC profiles for vinyl, flex, canvas, wallpaper, textile and sticker
• Spectrophotometer Use: Use X-Rite or i1 devices to measure and match colours accurately
• Proofing: Take print proofs and secure client approval before bulk production
• Colour Correction: Adjust RGB to CMYK, saturation, brightness and contrast for the best print output
• File Preparation: Check and correct client files for resolution, bleed, cut lines, colour mode and font outlines
• RIP Software: Work in Onyx, Wasatch or Caldera on nesting, tiling and scaling for large format
• Artwork Editing: Make minor edits in CorelDraw, Illustrator and Photoshop — logo placement, text correction, background removal
• Mockups: Create 3D mockups for vehicle wraps, shop signage and event branding for client approval
• Layout & Imposition: Arrange multiple jobs to reduce media waste and increase efficiency
• Printer Operation: Handle basic operation of eco-solvent, UV, DTF, sublimation and latex printers
• Material Knowledge: Understand vinyl, flex, backlit, one-way vision and textile media, and recommend the best material for each job
• Quality Control: Check the final print for banding, colour shift and scratches before dispatch
• Waste Reduction: Optimise ink usage and media nesting to control cost
• Troubleshooting: Coordinate with the printer technician on any colour or print head issue

Requirements:

• FA or Graduation
• 4 to 5 years in digital printing, large format or textile printing
• Colour theory, Pantone matching, ICC profiling and file prepress
• Hands-on with RIP software — Onyx, Wasatch or Caldera
• CorelDraw, Illustrator and Photoshop for artwork correction
• A strong eye for colour detail, fast decision making, and comfort working under deadline pressure
