Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Pakistan is seeking a finance-focused professional for a 6.5-month project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and donor reporting to strengthen protection and governance efforts.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Commerce.
• Progress toward ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent is an advantage.
• 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience, NGO/INGO preferred.
• Experience with donor-funded project financial management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting and cash requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and proper coding to budgets.
• Process payments, advances, and settlements per IRC procedures.
• Review documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor expenditures versus budget and flag variances promptly.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts and donor reporting.
• Coordinate with programme, supply chain and HR for financial planning.
• Ensure internal controls and safeguarding of financial information.
• Support audits, financial reviews and donor verifications.
