Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Finance Officer for a 6.5-month project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The role supports day-to-day financial management, budget monitoring, and donor reporting under the guidance of the Senior Finance Officer, with field travel involved.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with IRC policies and donor requirements. Collaboration with programme, HR, and supply chain teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Progress toward ACCA, CA or CIMA is beneficial.
• Minimum 3 years of NGO/INGO finance experience.
• Experience with donor-funded projects is an advantage.
• Experience with payroll transactions and financial documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support budget prep, forecasts, and cash needs with senior officer.
• Maintain accurate financial records and proper coding.
• Process payments, advances, and settlements per IRC procedures.
• Review documents for completeness and compliance before paying.
• Monitor expenditure vs budget and flag variances promptly.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and donor reporting.
• Coordinate with programme, HR, and supply chain for planning.
