Job summary

Murkez Technologies seeks a Business Analyst to support Finance and Accounting initiatives, gathering requirements, documenting processes, and analyzing data to enable reporting, reconciliation, and system improvements.

The role requires strong BA fundamentals plus advanced SQL and Excel skills, with collaboration between Finance and IT to ensure accurate, timely delivery in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst (required).
• Experience supporting Finance/Accounting or financial data (required).
• Must work aligned to CST hours (until 12 PM CST).
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS, or Information Systems (Master’s a plus).

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
• Break down complex processes into actionable work items.
• Document workflows and ensure requirements are clear and testable.
• Partner with stakeholders to validate solutions.
• Support Agile delivery (backlog, sprints, UAT).
• Investigate and resolve data/system issues.
• Support Finance-related tickets and reporting requests.
