Job summary

Murkez Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst to support Finance and Accounting initiatives. This role emphasizes requirements, process documentation, and data analysis to enable reporting, reconciliation, and system improvements.

Strong BA fundamentals plus advanced SQL and Excel skills are required, working closely with Finance and IT teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery. The candidate will gather requirements, write user stories in Azure DevOps, map processes, and support Agile

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst
• Experience supporting Finance/Accounting or financial data
• Must work aligned to CST hours (until 12 PM CST)
• Strong Insurance business concepts
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to produce clear, testable requirements

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps
• Break down complex processes into actionable work items
• Document workflows and ensure requirements are clear and testable
• Partner with stakeholders to validate solutions
• Support Agile delivery (backlog, sprints, UAT)
• Investigate and resolve data/system issues
• Support Finance-related tickets and reporting requests
