Job summary

Zong Business Solutions in Pakistan is seeking a Grid Operations Engineer responsible for end-to-end Non-Telco/Telco activities within assigned grids. You will ensure network availability, manage operations within the Opex budget, and address MS-related matters, guiding field teams to rectify issues and improve key performance indicators.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2–3 years of experience.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for managing end-to-end Non-Telco/Telco activities within the geographical boundaries of his respective Grid(s). The key tasks include ensuring network availability and managing network operations within the allocated Opex budget by managing network utilization & manage the MS related matters/issues, leading the MS field teams for issue rectification, and improving and working on basic management KPIs.

Job Responsibilities

• Network Availability: Monitor grid performance and activities performed by the field teams, and ensure compliance with network KPIs to ensure Preventive/Corrective maintenance of the access network and Gen-sets is carried out on time.
• OPEX Management: Manage the grid within the allocated OPEX budget, and take necessary steps to optimize OPEX (e.g., electricity/DG fuel).
• Team Management: Assist and manage his resources such as cluster owners, riggers & fueling teams, and take steps for their capability/competence development. Coordinate with the regional FOPS manager & TGLs in allocation of targets & KPIs to field teams on a monthly basis and to evaluate their performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
