Infosys Hyderabad is seeking an Operations Engineer to administer and monitor the Arena application in production and pre-production environments. The role involves routine health checks, performance monitoring, log analysis and scripting to automate tasks.

You will troubleshoot production issues, coordinate with infrastructure and engineering teams, and support Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, Hive) with incident management and ITSM tooling. Strong Unix/Linux, shell and Python skills are required.

Qualificações

• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
• Hands-on experience in shell scripting for task automation and operational support.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting.
• Understanding of cloud-computing fundamentals, preferably AWS.
• Experience or working knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive).
• Experience supporting applications or tools in production environments.
• Ability to analyze application, server and system logs.
• Understanding of incident, problem and change-management processes.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, monitor and support the Arena application across production and non-production environments.
• Perform routine health checks for applications, servers, services and components.
• Monitor availability, performance, logs, alerts and scheduled processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, connectivity problems and environmental errors.
• Analyze Unix/Linux logs and run shell scripts to identify issues.
• Develop Python scripts to automate monitoring, reporting and health checks.
• Provide operational support for Hadoop components (HDFS, Hive) and monitor Hadoop jobs.
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks and knowledge articles; participate in on-call rotations.
