About the role
This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse facilities. As Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage staff, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role is essential to our supply chain success and directly impacts our ability to deliver products to our customers on time and in perfect condition.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of goods
- Manage and motivate warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions as required
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular stock counts and system reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the warehouse facility
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for warehouse efficiency
- Identify opportunities to optimise warehouse layout, processes and productivity
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments and receipts
- Communicate effectively with other departments including logistics, sales and quality assurance
- Report on warehouse performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics supervisory role
- Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse teams and achieving operational targets
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing operations
- Ability to lead by example and motivate staff to maintain high standards of performance and safety
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across different departments
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is an advantage.
- Experience in the food or FMCG industry is advantageous
