Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control, reconciliation and warehouse systems.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and supervise warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Head in planning, directing, and controlling all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of steel products.
• Oversee daily warehouse activities and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, performance monitoring, and disciplinary actions as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure stock availability while minimising excess inventory.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
• Ensure proper organisation, labelling, and storage of materials to maximise warehouse space and facilitate easy retrieval.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols to provide a secure working environment and reduce workplace incidents.
• Liaise with logistics, sales, and customer service teams to coordinate shipments and resolve distribution issues.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and machinery, arranging maintenance and repairs as necessary.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, efficiency, and safety statistics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving measures.

About the role

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking a Warehouse Deputy Head to join our operations team in Metro Manila on a full-time basis. This is a key supervisory position within our warehousing and distribution operations, responsible for assisting the Warehouse Head in overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing inventory, coordinating staff, and ensuring efficient storage and distribution of steel products. As Deputy Head, you will play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, safety standards, and customer satisfaction across our warehouse facilities. This position offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to directly influence the efficiency and profitability of our logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

What we’re looking for

• At least 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles, preferably in manufacturing or steel distribution environments

• Proven experience in inventory management, including stock control, reconciliation, and warehouse systems

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and supervise warehouse staff

• Excellent organisational and planning abilities with strong attention to detail

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications

• In‑depth knowledge of warehousing best practices, safety regulations, and occupational health standards

• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with different departments and stakeholders

• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving materials

• High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is preferred

• Valid driver's licence is advantageous

• Familiarity with steel products and manufacturing processes is a plus
