Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; identify root causes and implement repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structure.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance data.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls to minimise downtime.
• Perform fabrication and welding work for facility modifications and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance efficiently.
• Operate and maintain basic tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.

LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our manufacturing facilities operate smoothly and safely. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our industrial equipment, building systems, and infrastructure. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining operational efficiency, extending equipment lifespan, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs
• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs completed, and equipment performance data

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification, with technical training or certification in maintenance, mechanical work, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or general handyperson services
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment operation, repair, and maintenance procedures
• Competency in basic welding and metal fabrication techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple maintenance requests effectively
• Physical capability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects and working in various positions
• Valid driver’s licence and reliability in attending the Metro Manila location consistently
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with team members
• Certification in welding, forklift operation, or other relevant skills would be advantageous
