Job summary

Veranda at Bellarosa Gardens OPC is seeking a friendly and professional waiter to warmly greet guests, seat them, and take accurate orders. You will guide guests with menu recommendations and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks, all while maintaining a spotless dining area and high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar waiting staff role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse guests.
• Excellent customer service orientation and a genuine passion for providing exceptional dining experiences.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and carry items.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards work.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them according to restaurant guidelines

• Taking accurate food and drink orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
• Serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, adhering to proper serving techniques
• Checking in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately
• Clearing and resetting tables promptly between guests
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations
• Following health and safety regulations and food handling procedures
• Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service delivery
• Assisting with special requests and accommodating dietary requirements when possible
