Job summary

ECLARO in the Philippines is seeking an Underwriting Associate to support underwriters by reviewing, processing, and servicing new and renewal business in Manila. The role focuses on timely submissions, documentation, and broker communication so underwriters can concentrate on risk assessment and portfolio management.

You will log and track submissions, verify completeness, prepare files and worksheets, and assist with quotes and binders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred in business/finance/risk management.
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance or underwriting support or related admin role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills with ability to handle multiple files and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable working with brokers and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with underwriting/policy systems is a plus.
• Team-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Log, track, and organize new and renewal submissions from wholesale brokers.
• Review submissions for completeness and follow up on missing information.
• Prepare files and rating worksheets per underwriter instructions and guidelines.
• Assist with generating quotes, indications, and binders using internal systems.
• Prepare and process bind orders, endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements.
• Coordinate with operations/policy issuance teams to ensure timely policy delivery.
• Enter and update account information, pricing data, and coverage terms in systems.
• Run and compile reports on submissions, hit ratios, and premiums as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for brokers for routine questions and status updates.
• Follow underwriting guidelines and assist audits and internal reviews.
• Support underwriters with day-to-day administrative tasks and process improvements.
