About the role
The Travel Consultant is responsible for executing end-to-end Operations functions, including quotations, bookings and reservations, package creations, supplier relations, client assistance, travel coordination, and finance coordination. The Travel Consultant delivers seamless end-to-end travel solutions, ensuring client requirements are met with accuracy, efficiency, and excellent service. As a trusted advisor, the Travel Consultant provides expert guidance on travel arrangements while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers, ensuring all bookings, documentation, and communications are handled professionally and aligned with company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Answer inquiries of clients within the service level agreement (SLA) and prepare detailed quotations of travel requirements based on client preferences, including price breakdown, inclusions, and exclusions
- Utilize different suppliers and reservation platforms to compare options, availability, and prices to get the best rates in creating quotations for clients
- Book and prepare reservations of travel needs with direct suppliers or through booking platforms
- Confirm reservations with clients and provide detailed itineraries, e-tickets, and booking confirmations
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to disburse payments to suppliers and reserve bookings
- Design customized travel packages for clients, combining flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities to create comprehensive travel experiences
- Communicate empathetically with clients for all their concerns and assist with their needs across all communication channels
- Troubleshoot booking issues encountered by clients and provide solutions to escalations regarding bookings and travel
- Monitor the end-to-end travel of clients to ensure smooth travel and transaction processing
- Coordinate with finance and sales teams in payment collections, supplier payment processing, and maintaining clear documentation of all booking transactions
About you
- 1-2 years of travel-related role experience, with exposure to ticketing and travel services reservation
- Experience in creating accurate quotations of travel services and itinerary creation
- Proficiency in booking flights, hotels, and other travel services with ticketing portals and reservation systems
- Knowledge in ticketing and reservation in GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo), with Sabre experience as a plus
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent client service delivery
- Strong travel product and industry knowledge
- Effective and efficient collaboration skills with different teams
