Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines (Lapu-Lapu) is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to support PCBAs through testing, assembly, and repair in a fast-paced environment. You will run full test procedures, interpret datalogs, fix PCBA issues, perform visual inspections, and prepare boards for shipping while collaborating with engineers and colleagues to improve reliability and quality.

Candidates should have Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics background, hands-on board repair

Qualifications

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant experience in board repair
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage
• Goal and results-oriented, flexible, and hardworking
• Computer literate

Responsibilities

• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; coordinate with technicians/engineers for unresolved failures.
• Perform defined steps to fix PCBA through repetitive testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units are reassembled and free from defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Work with technicians and engineers on process and quality improvements, reliability issues and meeting department goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.
• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.
• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.
• Perform packing and shipping of boards.
• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.
• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
