Job summary

Teradyne in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented technician to support PCBAs through testing, troubleshooting, and repair. You will follow strict PCBA handling procedures and work with engineers to resolve failures, ensuring assemblies meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include running full test procedures, performing visual inspections, and packing/shipping boards, while collaborating with the team to improve reliability and meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Electronics Technology or Industrial Electronics graduates with relevant board repair experience.
• Knowledgeable in electronics board troubleshooting, de/soldering, and repair.
• Experience in hardware and software validation for medium/high-end testers is an advantage.
• Goal- and results-oriented, flexible and hardworking.
• Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Keen attention to details and 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures.
• Run full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and system setup per defined procedures.
• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and troubleshoot with engineers or supervisors.
• Perform defined testing and repetitive troubleshooting to fix PCBAs.
• Perform visual inspection and ensure units are properly reworked and packed.
• Assist with packing and shipping of boards and collaborate on process improvements.

Opportunity Overview

• Keen attention to details, 100% compliance with PCBA handling procedures, must be physically able to pick up PCBA Assemblies and place inside a system or TBUs.


• Run the full test procedures of Teradyne PCBAs and System set-up based on the defined procedure.


• Interpret failure datalog from test programs and follow defined troubleshooting steps to fix the PCBA; work with other Technician, Engineer, or Supervisor for failures that are not yet defined.


• Run a number of defined specific steps to properly fix the PCBA performing repetitive defined testing and troubleshooting procedures.


• Perform visual inspection to ensure units have been reassembled/reworked and free from physical defects.


• Perform packing and shipping of boards.


• Works with other Technicians and Engineers in process and quality improvements, reliability issues as well as meeting department/section goals.


• Comply with company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
