Job Responsibilities
A. Territory Expansion and New Dealer Acquisition
- Identifies potential new dealers within the territory and work towards expanding the dealer network.
- Onboards and trains new dealers on the company’s products and processes.
B. Dealer Relationship Management
- Serves as the primary point of contact for tire dealers or business partners within the assigned territory.
- Builds and maintains strong, long‑lasting relationships with dealers to ensure customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Regularly visits dealers to understand their needs, assess their performance, and provide support.
- Possesses an in‑depth knowledge of the business support landscape and the ability to advise businesses on the range of options available.
- Attends meetings with networks and associates to ensure that one is kept up‑to‑date with global, national, regional, and local business support initiatives to ensure business client benefit.
- Provides start‑up businesses with advice and guidance to assist them to successfully set up and commence trading (and go on to maintain their own sustainable business).
- Provides tutoring on, for example, suitable business plans and cash flow plans.
- Organizes and delivers business networking events and business education seminars and workshops.
C. Market Analysis and Competitor Awareness

E. Product Knowledge and Expertise
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the company’s tire products, including features, specifications, and applications.
- Educates and trains dealers on the benefits and proper usage of the tire products.
- Provides technical training on product features, advantages, and benefits to fleets to ensure a well‑rounded approach to sales.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience.)
- 5 years' experience in tire sales, dealer sales management, or similar industry with a focus on relationship management.
- Proficiency in negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.
- Knowledge of the tire and/or automotive industry, fleet management operations, and related challenges.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers and attend industry events.

Please note that the OTR - Sales Manager role is primarily focused on new business acquisition (hunting) and business development. Candidates applying for this position should have a proven ability to identify new business opportunities, generate leads, acquire new clients, and drive sales growth.
The Territory Sales Manager role is both account management (farmer) and business development (hunter).
