Job summary

Adventure Consultancy Solutions Philippines Inc. in Makati City (Hybrid 2–3x onsite) is seeking a Terminal Support Engineer to manage our POS terminal ecosystem.

You will install and maintain POS terminals, coordinate with vendors, and lead Terminal Management System (TMS) support, driving improvements across terminal operations. Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networks is required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in payments OEM/software/hardware.
• Experience in application support, release management, and incident handling.
• Proven troubleshooting for POS hardware, terminal software, and network issues (TCP/IP, GPS).
• Experience in multi-vendor environments and driving timely resolutions.

Responsibilities

Location: Makati City | Hybrid (2–3x/week onsite) | Schedule: Shifting Schedule | Industry: Payments / Fintech

Do you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and keeping critical hardware running smoothly? We're on the lookout for a Terminal Support Engineer to manage and support our Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal ecosystem - from installation and monitoring to vendor coordination and issue resolution. If you have a knack for solving hardware and network puzzles and love working across multi-vendor teams, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As Terminal Support Engineer, you'll own the health and performance of our POS terminals - proactively identifying issues, coordinating with vendors and support partners, and ensuring merchants and customers experience minimal disruption. You'll also take the lead on Terminal Management System (TMS) support and drive continuous improvement across our terminal operations.

What You'll Do

• Install and maintain Point-of-Sale systems, software, and interfaces
• Liaise with suppliers and coordinate activities with support partners and vendors
• Create operating manuals, checklists, and training materials
• Manage daily operational coordination between customers, internal IT, and specialist departments
• Resolve hardware, software, network, and communication issues in POS systems and related applications
• Organize mass rollouts of terminal software, including ticket creation and updates
• Proactively monitor terminal health and elevate issues to vendors and merchants as needed
• Own and support the Terminal Management System (TMS)
• Identify and implement opportunities for increased departmental efficiency

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of experience working with or supporting OEM and/or bespoke software/hardware within the payments industry
• Experience in application support, release management, and incident management
• Solid troubleshooting experience with POS hardware, terminal software, network, and communication issues (including TCP/IP and GPS)
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in multi-vendor teams, raising issues, and driving timely resolution
• Verifone and/or MX51 experience is a plus
• Microsoft Network certification and/or CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Cloud+) are a plus
