Leoch Battery Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled technician to perform daily battery maintenance and health checks on deployed systems, conduct site inspections, and handle end-to-end warranty processing. You will also provide on-site technical support and collaborate with HQ teams in China on complex issues.
The role requires a diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, at least 2 years in the battery industry, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and willingness to travel regionally
Perform battery maintenance and routine health checks on deployed systems
Conduct site inspections and evaluate battery performance in the field
Handle warranty claim processing end-to-end, including documentation and coordination
Perform battery analysis and reporting to required standards
Provide warehouse backup support, ensuring stored batteries are charged according to recommended storage timeframes
Support SAP-related activities and maintain accurate records
Assist with container unloading and inventory handling when required
Provide prompt on-site, email, and phone technical support for battery-related queries (lead-acid and lithium)
Support testing, installation, commissioning, and post-commissioning activities
Visit customer sites to evaluate quality issues and provide hands-on fault resolution
Analyse defective products and conduct local testing where applicable
Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and perform quality checks when required
Provide technical training and presentations to customers and internal staff
Liaise with HQ Technical Support, Global After-sales, and production teams in China on complex technical issues
Maintain and update product documentation, project records, and technical reports
Support sales initiatives on technical matters across the APAC region
Attend project and tender meetings when required
Perform administrative duties and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the reporting manager
Travel within the region on short notice when required
Minimum Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience; prior experience in the battery industry (lead-acid and/or lithium) is a strong advantage
Strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project and SAP is advantageous
Comfortable working independently with minimum supervision
Good team player with strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
Able to work under pressure and take high initiative
Willing and able to travel on short notice and perform physical tasks (e.g., site visits, container unloading)
