Job summary

LPPA Design Group, Inc. seeks a specifications professional to develop Outline, Performance, and Technical Specifications based on Master Specifications, working with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather technical requirements.

You will ensure compliance with industry standards, review and revise documents, translate drawings into detailed specifications, and build a comprehensive specification library to support proposals, bids, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Outline, Performance, and Technical Specifications based on established Master Specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather and consolidate technical requirements.
• Ensure all specifications comply with industry standards, codes, regulations, and project requirements.
• Review, revise, and improve existing specifications to align with evolving project needs.
• Convert Performance Specifications into Material References and detailed specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, plans, and diagrams and translate relevant details into comprehensive specifications.
• Build and maintain a well-organized specification library for current and future projects.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure specifications meet required quality standards.
• Facilitate coordination meetings with stakeholders regarding specification revisions, clarifications, and updates.
• Provide detailed technical specifications to support proposals, bids, and project documentation.
• Create and manage standardized documentation templates for future projects.
• Stay updated on construction materials, industry trends, codes, standards, and best practices to keep specifications current and competitive.
