Job summary

Light Rail Manila Corporation seeks a procurement professional to ensure on-time delivery of purchases with quality and cost efficiency. You will coordinate with end-users, review purchase requests, and manage bidding to invite only qualified vendors.

Responsibilities

• On-Time Delivery (OTD) of purchases, ensuring no quality issues and no downtime, and acquired at optimum cost.
• Reviews / scrutinizes the PR for completeness and correctness of pertinent information. Immediately coordinates with user if there’s a clarification or issue with the PR. If PR is in order, performs bidding immediately and ensures only qualified vendors are invited.
• Conducts negotiation when the opportunity presents itself and during situations when cost is not the primary reason for award.
• Ensures award is always to the best interest of the company (combination of optimal cost, best quality, and on-time-delivery). Ensures POs are properly transmitted, acknowledged, and documented.
• Ensures that all procurement transactions are in accordance with approved Policies and Procedures.
• Agrees and achieves performance versus established goals on all defined parameters / indices.
• Provides regular, prompt updates to end-users especially on urgent requirements. Shows commitment to open communication demonstrated by sharing of information, ideas and knowledge.
• Performs both commercial and technical analysis on requirements that needs more in-depth assessment.
• Ensures only accredited vendors are invited and at least 3 proposals are received.
• Handles indent items and facilitates processing of all importation documents.
• Attends to internal customer complaints without delay.
• Ensures all deliveries are in conformance with set quality standards. Settles rejections at the soonest possible time.
• Initiates/endorses accreditation on certain commodity items that needs additional qualified suppliers.
