Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sources and evaluates potential suppliers based on purchase order requirements received from end-user.

• Checks and assesses supplier proposal ensuring compliance with quality, cost-effectiveness/ timely delivery.

• Negotiates contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable deals.

• Prepares and processes purchase orders as per set lead time.

• Tracks orders and ensures timely delivery.

• Resolves issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies or invoice disputes.

• Assists in developing procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.

• Ensures compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.

• Monitors supplier performance / improvement activities.

• Collaborates with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and improvements to optimize procurement.

• Ensures on-time completion of orders and on-time processing of payment.

• Conducts tactical and strategic sourcing activities.

• Technical reviews of vendor proposal to determine its conformity to end-user requirement.

• Conducts expenditure or spends analysis to identify cost saving opportunities and improve supplier management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of any Engineering courses;

• At least 1-year of relative Procurement experience/as Technical Buyer gained in a Manufacturing set-up;

• Knowledge in Manufacturing process; Background in Value Engineering in Project and Product is advantage.

• Able to identify process improvement for potential cost down.

• Background in product evaluation and testing to be able to determine appropriate/acceptable specification.

• Able to interpret and read manufacturing drawing / time and motion study

• Can evaluate and make process flow improvement.
