Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the Philippines is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to provide Level 2 support for mission-critical applications, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with internal teams.

The role includes testing updates, root-cause analysis, monitoring system health, and supporting after-hours on-call. A degree in IT/CS/Engineering and 3–5 years Linux/SQL experience are preferred, with VMware and networking familiarity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on Linux experience with troubleshooting and system administration.
• 3–5 years experience with SQL/databases for data analysis and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with virtualization and infra tech such as VMware, servers, storage, firewall, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for mission-critical applications and resolve complex system issues.
• Test and validate system updates; support pre- and post-release testing of software and firmware updates.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes to minimize disruption.
• Communicate findings and progress clearly to customers with transparent status and timelines.
• Monitor system health and performance; identify risks and support maintaining reliability.
• Coordinate ticket escalation and prioritize work based on business impact.
• Support after-hours or on-call as needed, with a customer-focused mindset.
