Job summary

DM Consunji, Inc. is seeking a Survey Head in Metro Manila to lead a surveying team across tunnels, stations, and underground utilities.

You will ensure alignment, data traceability, and quality control throughout the construction lifecycle. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Geodetic or Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of managerial surveying experience and a strong background in field-to-office data integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; PRC license is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in surveying within the construction industry.
• Extensive experience in construction surveying, setting-out, control, topographic and as-built surveys.
• Experience handling major building, railway, infrastructure, high-rise, road, bridge or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of applicable surveying standards, procedures, and construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Survey planning and control to ensure data traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Process, validate, and interpret survey data using specialized software and tools.
• Verify survey data accuracy and enforce quality control before use in construction.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, MEP, QA/QC, and consultants.
• Identify and resolve survey-related issues impacting alignment, elevation or schedule.

Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Survey Head manages the entire surveying team and ensures accurate alignment and monitoring of all construction work, especially tunnels, stations, and underground utilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Survey Planning and Control

• Ensures consistency and traceability of all survey data throughout the project lifecycle.
• Designs and implement survey control strategies.
• Plans and optimize survey resources, instrumentals, and manpower deployment based on construction sequencing.

Data Processing, Analysis, and Reporting

• Process, validate, and interpret survey data using specialized software and engineering tools.
• Provides technical reports for managements, consultants, and client represents.

Survey Verification and Quality Control

• Reviews and verifies survey date, measurements, calculations, and field records.
• Ensures the accuracy and reliability of survey results before they are used for construction activities.
• Investigates discrepancies between approved drawings, survey data, and actual site conditions.

Construction Coordination

• Coordinates with Project Managers, Construction Managers, MEP team, QA/QC, consultants.
• Provides survey data and technical support required for construction execution.
• Coordinates with survey requirements with project schedule to avoid delays in construction.

Technical Issue Resolution

• Identifies and resolves survey-related issues that may affect construction quality, alignment, elevation, or schedule.
• Provides recommendations when discrepancies or site conditions require technical intervention.
• Escalates critical survey issues to the Project Manager or relevant technical authority when necessary.

JOB QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related filed. PRC license is preferred.
• With minimum of 5 years managerial experience in surveying in the construction industry.
• Has extensive experience in construction surveying, setting-out, control surveying, topographic surveying, and as-built surveys.
• Has experience handling major building, railway, infrastructure, high-rise, road, bridge, or other complex construction projects.
• Holds a strong knowledge in applicable surveying standards, procedures, and construction requirements.
