Job summary

QUAD-R Building Solutions is seeking a Cadet Surveyor to lead spatial data collection, topographic mapping, and dimensional control for construction projects. You will bridge field work with senior management, ensuring accurate site layouts, elevations, and alignments in line with contract drawings and specifications.

You will supervise survey crews, manage documentation, and liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to support contract evaluation and project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• 1 year of relevant construction surveying or geodetic experience preferred.
• Proficient with surveying instruments and interpreting drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and survey data processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Cadet Surveyor is responsible for the overall spatial data collection, topographic mapping, and dimensional control of construction projects. This role bridges field operations and senior management, ensuring that site layouts, elevations, and structural alignments are executed accurately, on schedule, and in strict compliance with contract drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. The Cadet Surveyor oversees and manages survey documentation including as-built records and boundary verifications, and serves as the primary technical point of contract for layout coordination with the client, consultants, and contractors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the precise layout, staking, and dimensional control for all project structures and earthworks.

• Manage the survey schedule and alignment priorities; analyze potential geometric discrepancies or site constraints, and formulate strategic adjustments to maintain project progress.

• Review and manage comprehensive survey documentation, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and as-built drawings.

• Lead the preparation and verification of survey-related engineering data, supporting the evaluation of contract.

• Maintain close collaboration with the Engineering Department, Construction Operations, and Subcontractors regarding alignment and elevation requirements.

• Supervise survey assistants and site personnel while maintaining clear communication channels between the project manager, client representatives, and consultants.

• Assist in conducting actual site measurements and cross-sections for billing vouchers, progress achievements, and volume computations.

• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure the survey crew adheres to company safety gear standards and hazard-free work environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• RCE is not mandatory, but holding a valid engineering license is considered an advantage.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience with a proven track record in construction surveying or geodetic engineering roles.

• Proficient in operating advanced surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, RTK, digital levels) and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and alignments.

• Excellent technical writing, organizational, and reporting skills with an exceptional eye for measurement details and geometric compliance.

• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to make critical technical decisions under pressure, manage field teams, and coordinate with client representatives effectively.

• Solid knowledge of surveying methodologies, topographical principles, and construction practices.

• Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD Civil 3D) and survey data processing software is a plus.
