Job summary

All About People Consulting is seeking a Licensed Geodetic Engineer to lead a surveying team on major infrastructure projects in the Philippines.

You will establish control networks, supervise setting-out and alignment for railway and tunnel works, and coordinate closely with project managers and design teams to ensure accuracy and compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

• Geodetic Engineer licensed professional.
• 10+ years in surveying; 5–8 years in lead/senior roles.
• 5+ years railway or tunnel project experience.
• Strong capabilities in construction surveying, setting-out, alignment and control surveying.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the surveying team on all project surveying activities.
• Establish and maintain survey control points and reference systems.
• Oversee setting-out and alignment for rail, tunnel, civil and infrastructure components.
• Conduct and supervise topographic, construction, as-built and verification surveys.
• Ensure accuracy of horizontal/vertical measurements, coordinates and alignments.
• Review and verify survey data, calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and other engineers to ensure proper survey execution.
• Monitor activities for compliance with drawings, specs and standards.
• Manage surveying equipment, records and documentation.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and site measurement concerns.
• Prepare and review survey reports and as-built surveys.
• Provide technical guidance to surveyors and team members.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and contractors on surveying matters.
• Ensure all activities meet quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the surveying team in all project-related surveying activities.

• Establish and maintain accurate survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and reference systems.

• Oversee setting-out and alignment works for railway, tunnel, civil, structural, and other infrastructure components.

• Conduct and supervise topographic, construction, as-built, and verification surveys.

• Ensure accuracy of horizontal and vertical measurements, elevations, coordinates, and alignments.

• Review and verify survey data, calculations, drawings, and reports prior to submission.

• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Design Engineers, and other technical teams to ensure proper execution of survey requirements.

• Monitor surveying activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and applicable surveying practices.

• Manage and maintain surveying equipment, instruments, records, and documentation.

• Identify and resolve surveying discrepancies, technical issues, and site measurement concerns.

• Prepare and review survey reports, as-built surveys, progress measurements, and other required documentation.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to surveyors and other members of the surveying team.

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on surveying-related matters.

• Ensure all surveying activities comply with project quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to surveying as may be assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Licensed Geodetic Engineer (GE).

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in surveying, with at least 5-8 years of experience in a Survey Lead/Senior Surveyor capacity.

• Minimum 5 years of experience working on railway and/or tunnel projects.

• Strong experience in construction surveying, setting-out, alignment, leveling, and control surveying.

• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments such as Total Station, GNSS/GPS, Digital Level, and related equipment.

• Knowledgeable in surveying software and applications such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant survey processing software.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, survey plans, coordinates, benchmarks, and technical specifications.

• Excellent leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
