Job summary

Archipelago Builders Corporation in Parañaque City is seeking a Geodetic Engineer to join our survey team. You will establish control points, verify layouts, and supervise survey aides and linemen on site, coordinating with project managers to meet drawings and specs.

Required: 4–6 years in geodetic work, a Bachelor’s in Geodetic Engineering; licensed GE is a plus. Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, team-oriented, and willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve drawings, resolve conflicts, and explain plans to Lineman and Aide.
• Establish horizontal and vertical control points and ensure precision.
• Use equipment properly and conduct layout inspections with Inspectors.
• Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data for positioning and elevations.
• Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, and As-Built documentation.
• Supervise Lineman and Aide during survey activities.
• Provide post-construction data and reports as required.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, crews, and government agencies.

Job description

PRE-CONSTRUCTION

Reviews approve drawings, assess all conflicts and explains drawing to Lineman and Aide.

• Checks all survey equipment and conducts simple calibration procedures of all instruments.


• Issues consumables to Survey aides/Lineman

CONSTRUCTION

Establish horizontal and vertical control points by marking them to ensure precision and accuracy.

• Uses equipment and tools properly and accurately.


• Conducts inspection of layout and elevation together with Inspectors to ensure all survey measurements are within the desired specifications.


• Computes geodetic measurements and interprets survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of the building.


• Prepares all data, charts, plots, maps, record and documents related to survey.


• Supervises Lineman and Aide while conducting survey works

POST CONSTRUCTION

Provides post concreting report after pouring

• Provides accurate As-Built data for further assessment.

GENERAL

Collaborates with Project Managers, construction crews, and government agencies, when necessary.

• Supervises and provides guidance to Survey aids/line men and training them in performing surveys or drafting works.


• Submits monthly accomplishment reports to Unit head


• Provides monthly equipment monitoring status to Unit head


• Compiles all As-Built data

DOCUMENTATION

Evaluates billings of sub-contractors based on actual accomplishments

Qualifications

• At least 4-6 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position;


• Candidate must have a Bachelor\'s Degree in Geodetic Engineering; Licensed GE is a plus;


• With strong analytical, communication, presentation skills as well as an eye for detail;


• Results-oriented, team-player with strong interpersonal skills;


• Willing to relocate / commute for the position/ amenable to work on-site;


• Willing to be assigned/relocate within NAIA, Parañaque City;
