Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) in the Philippines seeks a Project Manager/Procurement professional to coordinate opportunities across the Pacific region. You will support administrative work, liaise with JV partners, and ensure compliant submissions, pricing, and project delivery.

The role requires a degree in engineering or business, at least three years of project management experience, strong English writing, and MS Office proficiency. Collaboration with regional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or relevant field.
• Minimum three years of experience in Project Management/Procurement and/or Business Development.
• Experience in Multinational Engineering industry is an advantage.
• High level communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to write effectively in English to furnish reports and to prepare business development materials including proposals.
• Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
• Willingness to continue building skills through educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Pacific opportunities: setup, liaison with subcontractors and JV partners, and submission support.
• Monitor opportunities from IFI, local client websites and portals.
• Understand SMEC’s proposal pricing approach.
• Assist RM- Asia with other duties as assigned.
• Review project reports for BMS/QA compliance and technical standards.
• Support delivery with Project Directors/Managers to ensure margins and timely invoicing.
• Set up new projects in the region with regional/functional guidance.
• Assist in project audits and review of inputs/outputs.
• Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, contractors; transfer information.
• Proficiency with the company’s financial systems and processes.
• Assist in preparing or reviewing contracts with SEA & Pacific staff.
• Support subconsultancy and JV agreements with associates/partners.
• Collaborate to maintain quality, timeliness and coordination of deliverables.
