Job summary

SMEC (An SJ Group Company) is seeking an experienced Project Controls professional in Manila. You will plan, schedule, and monitor projects, manage changes, and support contract administration across engineering and EPC initiatives.

You will lead cost forecasting, earned value management, and risk mitigation while coordinating with engineers, finance, and contract teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in project controls within engineering, construction, or EPC projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Solid understanding of contract law and project delivery frameworks.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Establish WBS, milestones, and deliverables aligned with the TOR.
• Monitor schedule performance and identify critical path impacts.
• Coordinate schedule updates with the technical engineering team.
• Measure physical and financial progress against the baseline plan.
• Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards and KPIs.
• Identify and manage variations and change orders with stakeholders.
• Review contracts, TOR, and technical specifications for compliance.
