Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner in Makati (Hybrid: 1x onsite per week) to support the GDC and US People Team. You will align HR strategies with business goals, manage end-to-end HR services, and ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in HR/recruiting, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills. This role starts ASAP and entails a 6-month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or recruiting.
• Ability to adjust work hours; after-hours flexibility occasionally required.
• Razor-sharp attention to detail with ability to juggle priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills and follow-through for candidates and managers.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledgeable in local labor laws.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word).
• Familiarity with HR tools such as Greenhouse, DocuSign, FirstAdvantage.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with GDC General Manager and US People Team to support an exceptional experience for the Global Delivery Center team.
• Ensure alignment with business and HR objectives; provide local HR support to contributors in the Philippines.
• Serve as local HR contact for Philippines-based contributors and managers.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals; ensure local practices comply with laws.
• Oversee recruitment support, onboarding, HRIS and benefits administration, 201 file maintenance, and offboarding.
• Monitor performance management, lead workforce planning, talent development, and succession initiatives.
• Provide guidance on complex HR issues; maintain policies and Employee Handbook; support audits.
• Manage compensation and benefits strategy with global HR teams.
• Drive engagement, culture-building, and change management; collaborate on HR projects.
• Partner with senior leadership on org design and strategic HR decisions; mentor HR team members.
• Monitor HR metrics and analytics to inform decisions and improve processes.
• Perform office management duties and other HR-related tasks as required.
