Job summary

Mary Grace Cafe is seeking a New Store Operations Supervisor to oversee the operational readiness of new stores before opening. You will coordinate among departments to ensure systems, processes, equipment, supplies, documentation, and SOPs are in place and ready for Day 1.

You will monitor pre-opening requirements, coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and other teams, and identify gaps to keep openings on track. This role requires on-site work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in store operations, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or project coordination.
• Experience in new store openings, branch expansion, or project-based operations is highly preferred.
• Strong cross-functional coordination and project monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of SOP development, process implementation, and operational standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
• Willing to conduct site visits and work on-site during pre-opening and opening activities.
• Willing to travel to different store locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates pre-opening readiness activities for new store openings.
• Develops and monitors the pre-opening timeline, checklist, and requirements with departments.
• Coordinates with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, Engineering, QA, Supply Chain, Training, Marketing, and others to complete store requirements.
• Ensures systems, processes, equipment, supplies, and SOPs are ready before opening.
• Monitors completion of SOPs, guidelines, forms, and procedures; conducts readiness checks.
• Escalates delays and risks impacting the opening timeline.
• Acts as primary coordinator across departments for pre-opening requirements.
• Facilitates meetings to track status of store opening requirements and ensures deadlines are met.
• Communicates responsibilities and deliverables clearly to all stakeholders.
• Maintains updated tracker of all pre-opening activities and deliverables.
• Coordinates with Operations and Training on store team readiness, training, orientation, and onboarding.
• Ensures staff are informed of procedures, systems, responsibilities, and requirements before opening.
• Supports pre-opening activities, dry runs, and other preparations for the team.
• Ensures remaining requirements are completed and gaps resolved before opening day.
• Provides operational support during initial store opening to ensure smooth transition.
• Monitors early operations and coordinates issues with departments.
• Documents concerns and ensures corrective actions are endorsed and completed.
• Conducts post-opening reviews to identify improvements and ensure smooth operation.
• Recommends improvements to the opening process based on experience and recurring issues.
