Job summary

Contemporain Foods Inc. is seeking a Store Supervisor to assist in the daily management and supervision of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, and to support the management team in implementing company policies, procedures and standards.

You will learn and execute stock management, merchandising and inventory control processes, assist with staff scheduling and training, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, commerce or a related field.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Physical capability to perform retail duties including standing for extended periods and lifting merchandise.
• Flexible availability, including willingness to work retail hours (evenings, weekends and public holidays as required).
• A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to professional development.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with composure.
• Previous retail or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily management and supervision of store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Support the store management team in implementing company policies, procedures and standards.
• Learn and execute stock management, merchandising and inventory control processes.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance monitoring under guidance from senior managers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Contribute to the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Participate in visual merchandising and store presentation to enhance the customer experience.
• Support the implementation of promotional activities and campaigns.
• Assist with financial transactions, point-of-sale operations and cash handling procedures.
• Identify and report operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
