Job summary

Contemporain Foods Inc. is offering a Management Trainee role designed to develop future leaders within our store management operations.

This full-time program provides exposure to all aspects of store management, working with experienced managers to build skills for advancement into store leadership positions. You will gain hands-on experience across inventory, scheduling, customer service, policy implementation, and POS procedures while contributing to sales targets and store performance.

Qualifications

• A qualification in retail management, business administration, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership potential.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with POS.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Previous experience in retail or food retail desirable.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day store operations including stock management and merchandising.
• Support customer service initiatives and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Learn and implement company policies and store procedures with guidance from senior management.
• Assist with inventory management, receiving, checking, and organizing stock.
• Support scheduling, staff training, and performance monitoring by the management team.
• Contribute to achieving sales targets and store performance goals.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and hygiene compliance.
• Participate in training programs to build management competencies.
• Assist with POS operations and cash handling procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
