About the role

We are seeking a Management Trainee to join Contemporain Foods Inc. in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to develop your retail management career from the ground up. As a Management Trainee, you will be immersed in all aspects of store operations whilst gaining valuable hands‑on experience and structured training across multiple functional areas. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it develops the next generation of store leaders who will drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction across our retail network.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the daily management and supervision of store operations, including opening and closing procedures


• Supporting the store management team in implementing company policies, procedures and standards


• Learning and executing stock management, merchandising and inventory control processes


• Assisting with staff scheduling, training and performance monitoring under guidance from senior managers


• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer inquiries and complaints professionally


• Contributing to the achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators


• Participating in visual merchandising and store presentation to enhance the customer experience


• Supporting the implementation of promotional activities and campaigns


• Assisting with financial transactions, point-of-sale operations and cash handling procedures


• Identifying and reporting operational issues and opportunities for improvement

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, commerce or a related field


• Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently


• Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems (or willingness to learn)


• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment


• Physical capability to perform retail duties including standing for extended periods and lifting merchandise


• Flexible availability, including willingness to work retail hours (evenings, weekends and public holidays as required)


• A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to professional development


• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with composure


• Previous retail or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate
