Select Goods is seeking a dynamic Store Assistant Manager to join our La Union Ilocos Region retail team. This full-time role supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, customer service, and driving sales performance.

You will lead a motivated staff, manage stock and visual merchandising, oversee cash handling, and ensure health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has retail management experience and a passion for creating a positive shopping experience.

About the role

Select Goods is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Store Assistant Manager to join our retail team in La Union Ilocos Region. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career in retail management whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of our store. As Store Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure exceptional customer service, maintain store standards, and drive sales performance. This role is pivotal in creating a positive shopping experience and fostering a motivated team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols

• Supervise and motivate store staff, ensuring they maintain high levels of professionalism and deliver outstanding customer service

• Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure adequate product availability

• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment is clean, organised and appealing to customers

• Support the implementation of sales targets and promotional campaigns to drive store revenue

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly

• Train and develop team members, providing guidance on product knowledge and company policies

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security regulations throughout the store

• Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators and sales objectives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the consumer products sector

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

• Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering positive shopping experiences

• Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising and point-of-sale systems

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak trading periods

• Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with competency in basic financial management and reporting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and store presentation
