Job summary

MAVI places experienced finance and accounting professionals into senior, high-ownership roles at high-growth US companies. Founded in 2023, the staff accountant role is remote from the Philippines, handling journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and close support.

You will work closely with US finance teams, using AI tools where appropriate and growing toward owning the month-end close. This is a full-time, long-term engagement with cross-border payroll and contracts managed by MAVI.

Qualifications

• 4+ years accounting experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting US, UK, Canada or Australia clients or companies.
• US GAAP experience or strong PFRS with exposure to US clients/entities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries with supporting docs.
• Process AP and AR, track aging, and ensure subledgers tie to GL.
• Support close tasks and issue flagging for timely completion.
• Help prepare financial statement schedules and explain movements.
• Maintain audit documentation and SOPs.
