Job summary

MAVI is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the close, accounting team, and day-to-day operations for a high-growth US company, working remotely from the Philippines.

You will ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables, presenting close results, variances, and risks to Controllers, CFOs, or founders. This is a high-ownership role requiring strong US GAAP expertise and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 7+ years accounting experience with close leadership or review responsibility.
• Hands-on US GAAP close and reporting experience.
• Experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online or Xero).
• Strong written and spoken English to present to US leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close with calendar and task ownership.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for leadership.
• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliation.
• Manage and coach accountants, set priorities, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate audits and tax requests with external firms and maintain controls.
