Job summary

MAVI places experienced finance and accounting professionals into senior, high-ownership roles at high-growth US companies. This fully remote Head of Accounting role from the Philippines leads the accounting organization, sets standards, and drives close, policy, and system improvements to ready the business for audits, IPOs, or acquisitions.

You will report to the CFO or CEO, managing managers and specialists, and ensuring US GAAP-compliant financial statements while aligning with cross-border

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading managers or a multi-layer team.
• Experience as the senior accounting leader, or deputy to one, at a high-growth or complex company.
• US GAAP, PFRS, or IFRS experience with exposure to US/UK/Canada/Australia.
• Track record of building or rebuilding an accounting function's policies, controls, and team.
• Experience owning the external audit relationship.

Responsibilities

• Own the structure, roadmap, and hiring plan of the accounting organization.
• Lead Accounting Managers, Leads, and specialists.
• Set close cycle-time and quality targets for the team.
• Oversee conclusions on revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, and debt/equity instruments.
• Own the accounting systems roadmap including ERP, revenue, and close automation.
