You will drive growth, performance, behavior, wellbeing, and shift life, ensuring the junior majority progresses to senior levels. You will own staffing, capability development, training plans, and onboarding for new joiners, while coordinating rosters, leave, and escalation processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE or DevOps with 2+ years as a people manager.
• Technical baseline to coach juniors: Linux, Kubernetes, cloud, observability, incidents.
• Proven coaching with engineers advancing under you.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, including night band.
• Comfort discussing behaviour or performance directly.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a pod of 8–12 SREs, fostering junior to senior progression.
• Manage weekly 1:1s, performance cycles, goals and development plans.
• Own onboarding, capability ledger and training plans for reports.
• Coordinate rota, leave, and escalation; maintain shift health.
