Job summary

OpsWerks is seeking a seasoned Engineering People Manager to lead a pod of 8–12 site reliability engineers in a 24x7 environment in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila. You will drive performance, behavior, wellbeing and career progression across a mixed seniority group.

You will rotate with the night band and own the onboarding of new joiners, Academy graduates, and talent development plans, ensuring robust succession and promotion paths within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in SRE/DevOps with 2+ years in people leadership.
• Strong Linux/Kubernetes and cloud/observability experience.
• Demonstrated coaching capability and evidence of engineers advancing under you.
• Willingness to rotate shift bands, including night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead a pod of 8–12 SREs through growth, performance and wellbeing.
• Manage capability, training plans and rollout of training seats within the rota.
• Own rota, leave approvals, relief coverage and overtime control; onboard new joiners and graduates.
• Identify successors and build promotion cases with input from Service Reliability Leads and Tech Leads.
