Job Vacancy Phil in Mandaluyong is seeking an Engineering People Manager to lead a pod of 8–12 Site Reliability Engineers in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.

You will coach, develop, and assess engineers, build training plans, and ensure smooth shift operations including night coverage. The role blends hands-on leadership with technical collaboration across Service Reliability Leads and Tech Leads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with people leadership.
• Strong Linux, Kubernetes, cloud, observability and incident management knowledge.
• Experience coaching engineers and helping them progress.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop people — run regular 1:1s, set goals, coach performance and wellbeing.
• Build capability — create development and training plans aligned with service needs.
• Own the shift operation — manage rotas, leave, coverage, onboarding and readiness.
• Grow talent — mentor juniors, identify future leaders, support promotions.
• Partner with engineering leaders — collaborate with Service Reliability Leads & Tech Leads.
