The Senior Manager, Non-Trade Procurement leads the strategic sourcing and procurement of non-trade goods and services across the organization, ensuring business requirements are delivered at the right quality, cost, service level, and timeline.
The role provides strategic direction on sourcing, supplier and category management, commercial negotiations, contracting, and procurement governance. It partners closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify sourcing opportunities, strengthen supplier performance, and deliver sustainable cost efficiencies while maintaining compliance with company procurement policies and controls.
The role also develops the Non-Trade Procurement team, strengthens procurement capabilities and processes, and drives continuous improvement across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
Strategic Procurement & Category Management
Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across assigned non-trade categories.
Translate business requirements and spend data into category strategies, sourcing plans, and procurement priorities.
Identify opportunities for spend consolidation, strategic sourcing, supplier rationalization, and cost optimization.
Provide procurement guidance to business stakeholders to ensure requirements are commercially sound and aligned with company standards.
Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management
Lead major RFQ, RFP, tender, and competitive bidding exercises for high-value and strategic requirements.
Establish sourcing approaches, evaluation criteria, commercial parameters, and negotiation strategies.
Ensure supplier selection is conducted objectively, competitively, and in accordance with procurement governance.
Review commercial proposals and provide recommendations based on cost, capability, service, risk, and overall business value.
Commercial Negotiation & Cost Management
Lead complex commercial negotiations with suppliers and service providers.
Drive improvements in pricing, payment terms, service levels, contractual conditions, and total cost of ownership.
Establish cost benchmarks and market references to support commercially competitive procurement decisions.
Track and validate procurement savings, cost avoidance, and value-creation initiatives.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
Lead supplier performance reviews and monitor agreed KPIs, SLAs, commercial terms, and service commitments.
Address recurring supplier issues and lead corrective actions where required.
Develop alternative supplier options to reduce business risk and strengthen negotiation leverage.
Contract & Procurement Governance
Ensure procurement transactions comply with company policies, approval authorities, tender requirements, and governance standards.
Partner with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders in reviewing commercial terms and contractual requirements.
Ensure procurement decisions and supplier selections are properly documented and supported.
Identify procurement, supplier, commercial, and continuity risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
Partner with business leaders to understand current and future procurement requirements.
Act as a strategic procurement advisor, balancing business urgency with commercial discipline and governance requirements.
Challenge specifications and sourcing approaches where opportunities exist to improve cost, quality, scalability, or supplier competition.
Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration throughout sourcing, contracting, implementation, and supplier management.
Procurement Analytics & Performance Management
Monitor procurement spend, sourcing performance, supplier performance, savings, and procurement pipeline.
Use data and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities and support business decisions.
Establish management reports and procurement performance reviews.
Drive greater visibility and discipline around procurement planning and spend management.
Process Improvement & Procurement Transformation
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate procurement processes.
Strengthen sourcing tools, templates, controls, and operating procedures.
Support digitalization and continuous improvement of the end-to-end procurement process.
Drive initiatives that improve procurement turnaround time, stakeholder experience, transparency, and productivity.
People Leadership & Capability Development
Lead and develop Managers, Supervisors, and members of the Non-Trade Procurement team.
Set clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Significant progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain, including leadership experience.
Strong experience managing non-trade / indirect procurement categories and complex sourcing requirements.
Demonstrated capability in strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, commercial negotiations, supplier management, and contracting.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including spend analysis, cost modeling, benchmarking, and total cost evaluation.
Experience managing senior business stakeholders and influencing sourcing and commercial decisions.
Strong understanding of procurement governance, controls, and supplier risk management.
Proven people leadership experience.
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
