BTCPOWER Cebu Inc. is seeking a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer to lead the electronics hardware side of the PCBA from circuit design through certification.
You will ensure full testing and certification before release to production for our EV charging products. The role collaborates with firmware and other engineers, supervises prototyping, performs design analyses, simulations, and documentation, and guides junior engineers to deliver high-quality hardware on schedule.
Join a fast-growing EV charging business at a pivotal moment in the industry's growth. You'll get limitless learning opportunities, ownership over real products from concept to production, and a direct hand in engineering the hardware that powers the EV transition.
BTCPOWER Cebu Inc. designs and engineers electric vehicle (EV) charging products, taking them from concept through production release. We're building a team of hands-on engineers who take real ownership of the hardware they ship.
We're looking for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the electronics hardware side of the PCBA, from circuit design through certification. You'll make sure the product is fully tested and certified before it is released to production.
Design circuits and create schematic diagrams of a PCBA.
Select microcontroller chips, communication chips, ADC chips, memory chips, drivers, semiconductors, passives and all components necessary based on a given requirement.
Generate bill of materials (BOM).
Supervise and review component placement and layout.
Perform design analysis such as worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), thermals, reliability prediction analysis (RPA) or meantime between failure (MTBF), flammability, spacing analysis and signal and power integrity analysis.
Perform various simulations to aid product development and shorten turnaround time, such as circuit simulation in LTSpice and Simplis.
Create design verification reports, component qualification reports, and other engineering documentation.
Ensure the PCBA is compliant with EMI standards, UL safety standards, conductive charging standards and other standards applicable to EV charging.
Supervise or do prototyping, power-up and troubleshooting, and perform detailed design verification and validation based on the DVT plan.
Create and formulate DVT plans and ensure products are fully tested and certified before releasing to production.
Think of ways to streamline the DVT process, such as automation.
Ensure the PCBA reliability test plan and methods are performed.
Work with firmware engineers to ensure hardware and firmware compatibility.
Extend support to issues arising in production for fast resolution and closure.
Guide junior engineers in performing designs, documentation, test verifications and validations, and review their outputs.
Collaborate with other engineers and core team members to deliver milestones and mitigate issues and delays. Ensure high-quality output and on-time delivery of the project or task.
In general, show maturity in leading all technical needs of the PCBA related to electronics hardware, from concept to production release.
